Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This site (paulducey.com) is a personal portfolio and skills marketplace operated by Paul Ducey. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Analytics and tracking
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects data including pages visited, time on site, referring sources, general location (down to city level), device type, and browser. This data is processed by Google and associated with a randomly assigned client ID stored in a first-party cookie (_ga).
Google Signals
This site has enabled Google Signals. When you are signed in to a Google account and have consented to ads personalization, Google may associate your visit to this site with information from your Google account: including location history, search history, YouTube history, and activity on sites that partner with Google. This allows GA4 to provide cross-device reporting and demographic insights.
If you have not consented to ads personalization in your Google account, or if you are not signed in to Google, Google Signals data is not associated with your account.
How to opt out of Google Signals: Visit Google Account → Data & Privacy and turn off "Include your Google account activity" under Web & App Activity. You can also review and delete data Google has collected about you at myactivity.google.com.
Ads personalization
Google Analytics on this site has ads personalization enabled. Data collected about your visit may be used to build audiences and improve advertising measurement if this Analytics property is linked to Google Ads accounts in the future. This is subject to your Google account's ads personalization settings.
To opt out of interest-based advertising by Google, visit adssettings.google.com.
User-provided data
If you provide your email address (for example, by contacting the site via a mailto link), that information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. This site has acknowledged Google's user-provided data collection policy; however, no hashed customer data is currently sent to Google Analytics from this site.
Forms and first-party analytics
Some pages have forms: the toolkit email on /gemba, the course waitlist on /lean, the report requests on /reports, and the walk sheet sign-ups on /cannabis. When you submit one, the email address, any optional role or company you enter, the form you used, whether you confirmed you are 21 or older, the consent text you agreed to and the time are stored in a database this site controls (Upstash Redis). They are used only for what the form says. On the walk sheet forms, the box for periodic emails and updates is optional: if you leave it unticked, your address is used only to give you the sheet, and you won't get marketing email from this site. and you can ask for them to be deleted by emailing pjducey@gmail.com or replying "stop."
The /gemba and /reports pages also send simple first-party events to the same database: the page path, which link was clicked, seconds on the page, how far you scrolled and the referring page. If you have submitted a form on this site from the same browser, that email is attached to these events. During a design test in September 2026, votes cast on a comparison page were stored the same way, with any note or name the voter chose to add. See the report terms.
